Directed by Aditya Vishwanath, the stunning feature-length starter, Shadows Fall (2016), produced an unusually successful love show and haunted house story. The ninety minute essay written by Raj Jawa and Kuber Kaushik is inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1897). At the same time he brings himself in line with the works of David Lynch. Vishwanath constantly shows these courage. This is done by focusing on marriage, the post-mortem life and the goodness of evil.
These were the focal points of Stoker’s classic text. Vishwanath’s brave, immersive and elegant approach, along with the storytelling form of Jawa and Kaushik, always creates a striking Lynchian parallax.
